2021 Dixie World Series

In 2021, Prince George County, VA hosted two divisions of the Dixie Softball World Series at a local athletic complex as part of their strategic plan to increase sports tourism to the County. With over 20 teams in attendance, and thousands more streaming from home, the tournament was a logistically-complicated event with several integrated marketing needs. Afton Design Co. worked closely with the County’s Economic Development team to provide programs, banners, tickets, t-shirts, enamel pins, autograph cards, and social graphics to support the tournament.

Highlights include:

• Co-branded materials that feature both Dixie Softball and Prince George County prominently.

• Flexible, custom graphics that could be used across a wide variety of print and digital media.

• Close coordination with vendors to print and deliver a Program Book with team photos and brackets on a tight timeline.

• The event was a major success for the County, garnering acclaim from local residents and visitors alike. At the end of the tournament, they were asked by organization officials to bid on future tournaments.
